Shortlist Announced | Splendid China Zhuang Brocade Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition TOP30
This July, in order to bring Xincheng Zhuang brocade out of the display case and into daily life — so that this intangible cultural heritage is not only seen, but used, loved, and shared — the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Laibin Municipal People’s Government, the Xincheng County People’s Government, and other institutions, together with the Eve Group, jointly launched the “Splendid China” Zhuang Brocade Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition. Aimed at fostering creativity and practical application through competition, it fully ignites the innovative vitality of Zhuang brocade as intangible cultural heritage and helps turn outstanding ideas into real, market-ready outcomes.
During the competition, we received more than 160 submissions from professional organizations, design studios, independent designers, and universities across the country. After review by the organizing committee and the panel of professional mentors, 30 finalist entries were selected; they illustrate, through Zhuang brocade heritage cultural-creative design; Zhuang brocade + silk fusion apparel and accessories; graphic IP visuals and brand innovation; and digital product integration — the many possibilities of Zhuang brocade heritage being reborn.
