AKI Partners with Madeby to Feature 'The Bathroom in the Lake' International Architecture Competition

AKI is pleased to announce a media partnership with the Spanish architecture and creativity platform Madeby, through which we will introduce Madeby's inaugural international architecture competition—"The Bathroom in the Lake / El baño en el lago"—to our global community.

Madeby is a platform for architects and creative professionals that showcases their work through international competitions and a range of initiatives, promoting and sharing architectural and creative references to inspire both industry practitioners and the general public. Madeby's competitions act as a constant generator of references: each call expands the sector's collective imagination, and the submitted projects form a living archive of references that encourages more independent, varied, and experimental creativity beyond dominant standardization.

Inaugural Competition: The Bathroom in the Lake / El baño en el lago

This architectural challenge explores the decontextualization of an everyday space—the bathroom—within an unexpected natural setting: Laguna Negra (the Black Lake), in Soria, Spain. Participants are invited to rethink the relationship between the body, water, architecture, and landscape.
