2026 Sing & Learn Chinese Campaign Is Now Live!

Once a year, as always — the 2026 "Sing and Learn Chinese" themed season has arrived. This year's theme is "Dreams and Poetry." From August to December, we warmly invite you, dreamers at heart, to wander together through the poetic world of the Chinese language.

Sing — Music Video Submission

In "Who Never Had a Dream When Young," in "Running Hard," in "Fearless" we step into the unknown; in "Youth Speaks Loud" we call ourselves "Dreamers" — "May Every Dream Be Lit." This season, we ride "On Wings of Song," play "The Brocaded Zither," "Remembering Jiangnan," and smile at "Fish Playing Among Lotus Leaves." When "The Wind Passes the Small Village Again" and "The Light Boat Has Passed," the "Scenery" here is beyond compare. Come along — "May You Hold a Dream in Your Heart," "Walking with Poetry." This season features 20 selected theme songs. Pick the one that belongs to you and create a brilliant music video!

Learn — "Poetic Dreams, Words from the Heart" Chinese Showcase

Sing a song, and record a story. Introduce your team in Chinese, talk about the emotional encounter you had with a song or a poem, and speak your dream out loud.

Alongside the melodies of the themed season, the brand's offline study programmes are blossoming as well. The "Sing and Learn Chinese" Study Camp in China brings together young people from around the world who love singing in Chinese, building a platform for cross-cultural exchange and letting youth from every country experience China as they travel. This year, 23 young people from 17 countries came to Chengdu, visiting Panda Valley, exploring Dujiangyan, experiencing Sichuan opera face-changing and trying their hand at AI music production — feeling the millennia-old cultural heartbeat of the Land of Abundance through travel and song. About the Programme

Who can take part?

Submissions are welcome from primary and secondary schools and universities worldwide, Confucius Institutes, Chinese language education institutions, cultural and arts organizations, Chinese learners and singing enthusiasts. Performers must be of non-Chinese nationality and non-native Chinese speakers.

How do I take part?

Please register, choose your song and submit your work on the programme's dedicated webpage. Participants must submit both a music video and a "Poetic Dreams, Words from the Heart" Chinese short video for the entry to be valid.

What song should I sing?

Please choose from the organizer's "Poetic Dreams Song List". Songs outside the list will not be accepted. Please listen to samples and select your song online on the programme's dedicated webpage. Only registered participants may download accompaniment tracks and sheet music (each registrant may download a maximum of 3 songs). Song availability is adjusted dynamically according to selection popularity — first come, first served.

What are the requirements for the music video?

1. Present one complete Chinese song that comprehensively demonstrates both Chinese singing ability and video creativity.

2. Two or more people must take part in the singing; formats may include duets, choruses and similar. All singing members must appear on screen. You may perform the accompaniment music yourselves.

3. Please shoot in landscape orientation using a mobile phone or other professional equipment. If shooting with a phone, the use of professional accessories such as a tripod or stabilizer is recommended to ensure good results.

4. Video resolution: 1920*1080 or higher. Video format: mp4 or mov.

5. Please avoid the appearance of flags, maps, trademarks and similar imagery, and works must not contain controversial or disturbing content, nor any elements that violate public order, good morals or social values.

6. Videos must be subtitled in Simplified Chinese. The video cover must include the following information: song title, lyricist and composer, original singer, cover group name and member names (with nationalities). Please leave blank space in the upper-right corner of the video.

7. Submitted works must not be published independently before they are screened in this programme. After the programme screening, participants may publish their works on their institution's or their own social media accounts.

What are the requirements for the "Poetic Dreams, Words from the Heart" Chinese showcase short video?

1. Shoot in landscape orientation.

2. The singing team should appear together; the narration in Chinese may be delivered by one person or several.

3. Video format: mp4 or mov.

4. Video resolution: 1920*1080 or higher.

5. Video length: no longer than 3 minutes.

6. Video content may include (but is not limited to):

(1) Introducing your team: including team name, members, ages and how long you have been learning Chinese;

(2) Talking about poetry: you may recite a favourite Chinese poem, or share your thoughts on classical Chinese poetry;

(3) Sharing dreams: you may talk about a specific dream, or simply a feeling and an expectation.

7. Please avoid the appearance of flags, maps, trademarks and similar imagery.

8. Videos must be subtitled in Simplified Chinese. Please carefully check the names mentioned in self-introductions. Please leave blank space in the upper-right corner of the video.
