I made this project because Pythagoras’ Theorem was very interesting to think about and I decided to make a comic of someone trying to solve a problem involving it. I tried to use Pythagoras’ Theorem in an interesting way, so that it makes for a more interesting reading experience. The comic is set in a school, where a new student had just transferred to that school and found that the tile design there was interesting. He decided to find the area of the gray square in the floor tile. The comic also talks about a sort of “proof” for this formula by letting the perpendicular side lengths be x and y, such that a = x and b = y. By using those values and formulas we can prove that Pythagoras’ Theorem is true and that .
