Chen Chunmei
She was born in 1963 in Siping, Jilin Province, China. She graduated from the Department of Fine Arts, Northeast Normal University, China in 1987 with a degree in Chinese painting. She started her art training base in 1990 and has been in Singapore for more than 30 years. 2008 she came to Singapore to promote Chinese art and set up a painting studio and gallery. Chen Chunmei is a Singaporean female painter, specializing in the large scale masterpiece "Thousand Hands, Thousand Eyes Guanyin Bodhisattva". She has been invited to exhibit in the "Beautiful Purple and Beautiful Red" exhibition of 100 female painters in Singapore. She is now an executive member of the Singapore Fine Arts Association and a member of the Singapore Hua Han Painting and Calligraphy Research Association.
