Li Fu Guang
Born in Singapore in 1952, Mr. Lee is the President of the Ink Painting and Calligraphy Association and chairs its painting division. He is passionate about promoting Chinese ink painting and has been invited by many cultural and art groups to participate in live painting and exhibitions. He is also passionate about bringing Chinese art to the grassroots community and has been teaching Chinese ink painting for many years at the grassroots liaison offices and the Lok Ling College of the Singapore Chinese Church so that more people can learn and appreciate the beauty of Chinese painting and calligraphy. Painting is a process of deeper understanding through repeated observation of objects and the use of brushwork to express their meaning. The preparation of a painting is to first observe the characteristics of the object, then test the effect with color and brush strokes several times, and then to master a certain degree, to begin to compose the picture, to pursue the perfection of form and spirit. With this repeated process, his paintings are characterized by their vividness whether it is figures, birds, flowers, animals,or landscapes.
